It was a frustrating afternoon for OKC Energy FC U23 Tuesday at Oklahoma City University, as Kaw Valley FC scored two goals in the first half and were able to preserve the lead for the remainder of the match.

Kaw Valley FC struck early, when Tucker Stephenson got on the end of a cross from Nicholas Jaimes to put the visitors ahead in the 3rd minute. Kristof Urbanyi doubled their lead in the 21st minute with a shot from distance that caught Nicholas Mertzokat off of his line.

The Greens had their chances though, with Dante Brigida coming closest after his shot hit the bar, bounced down, caromed off the post and came out. There were appeals that the ball crossed the line, but it was not given.

The second half proved to be fairly uneventful, with Kaw Valley FC holding their defensive shape well and preventing OKC from breaking them down.

The Greens will look to bounce back when they travel to take on Corpus Christi FC on Saturday night at 7:00PM.
