The Season Seat Member of the Match on Saturday night was Rick Lippert! Rick, who was joined by his wife, Gwin, kids and granddaughters, was presented with a commemorative, 5-year Energy FC watch for being with the club since day one.

Rick, a former collegiate soccer player at Georgia State University, picked up the phone to purchase season seats the day he heard Oklahoma City was getting a professional team. Since then, he and Gwin have attended every home match they could and are sometimes joined by the rest of the family. The Lipperts don't stop being fans when the team is away from home, however. They are just as dedicated when the team is on the road and watch every match on espn+!

When it comes to matchday rituals, Rick isn’t superstitious, but he does have his routine. He makes sure they always arrive early enough to grab a beer, roster card and methodically checks off who’s in the starting lineup and the substitutions.

When asked who his favorite current, player is, Rick said, “Kyle Hyland because he’s a solid player who stays open, attacks his opponent with purpose, and passes with precision. Plus, his slide tackle reminds me of my glory days!”

Regardless of the outcome, the Lipperts always enjoy walking out of Taft Stadium after a match knowing it was well-played and the boys gave their all – although the feeling is always better after a win!

Thank you for all the support over the years, Rick and Gwin! We’ll see you at Taft for the next match!
