Two late goals from David Estrada gave Seattle Sounders FC 2 all three points after Alex Dixon put Energy FC ahead in the second half.

OKC was the dominate side during the opening 45 minutes and should have been up at least one goal at the break. The best chance came in the 16th minute when Callum Ross’s through ball to Alex Dixon was squared to Christian Volesky. Volesky appeared to have an empty net to shoot at, but Seattle defender Sakari Carter did well to get back and block the shot off the line.

Another great chance fell to Volesky when a Jose Barril pass found him all alone in the box in the 32nd minute. The striker tried to collect before shooting, but the touch was a little too heavy and allowed Brown to come out and close him down.

The Greens picked up where they left off before the break and could have taken the lead in the 54th minute. Again, Volesky had another great opportunity to open the scoring, and again, Brown was quick off his line to close down the angle and keep the match scoreless.

The breakthrough finally came in the 76th minute when Ross played a first-time, diagonal ball over the top of the defense to find Alex Dixon streaking into the box. Dixon brought it down with one touch and then poked it through Brown’s legs to give OKC the lead.

Seven minutes later, a hopeful long ball was flicked on to David Estrada, who touched it past Christian Ibeagha and volleyed a shot past Matt VanOekel. In the 85th minute, Nick Hinds did well to get by Richard Dixon, and his deflected cross fell right to Estrada, whose first-time shot from six yards out was turned into the back of the net.

OKC stays in the Pacific Northwest to take on Portland Timbers 2 on Wednesday, June 13 at 9:00PM CT at Providence Park.
