Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Beckie grew up in the Denver area and attended college at the University of Denver. During his collegiate career, he attended camp for the U-20 and U-17 Canadian National Team and represented Team Canada in the 2012 Olympic qualifying matches.
“It’s a great thing to be able to add a player with Drew’s experience and ability at this point in the season,” said Cooke. “Throughout his career, he’s been on very successful teams. He’s the type of player that is able to play multiple positions and add positives to the team he’s playing with. I have no doubt his ability and style of play will improve our club.”
