FC Dallas has loaned defender Jordan Cano to Energy FC.

Cano recently signed with FC Dallas as a Homegrown player.  The 6-1, 170-pounder from Plano, Texas is playing in his first season as a pro.  The last four seasons, Cano played 75 matches with Southern Methodist University.  He was named American Athletic Conference Defender of the Year in 2017.

He joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2011 and was captain of the U-18 Academy team that made the U.S. Soccer Development Academy National Semifinals in 2014.  He was also a member of the U.S. U-17 National Team.

Paint the city green with Energy FC during St. Patrick’s Day.  The festivities begin at 11 a.m. when Energy FC hosts the O’City St. Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Oklahoma City.  The day concludes when Energy FC opens the 2018 season tomorrow at home against the Tulsa Roughnecks FC at 7 p.m.

Energy FC and Tulsa Roughnecks FC compete in the Black Gold Derby (pronounced DARBY) where the team that collects the most points in the season series keeps The Wrench.  OKC won the right to keep The Wrench in 2016, while Tulsa captured The Wrench in 2017.  This is the first of three meetings on the season and the only meeting in Oklahoma City.
