If one looks up the definition of a solid, consistent defender, one may find a photo of Energy FC’s Richard Dixon.  He played in 26 of the team’s 32 regular season matches and played 1,975 minutes and collected one assist.  Point production is not what Dixon’s M.O. is.  He performs his job of the steady back as well as anyone in the league.

Born in Hanover, Jamaica, Dixon has played the last four seasons in the USL.  During the 2014 campaign, he played with the Charlotte Eagles and for the last two seasons, he’s played with Saint Louis FC.  During the 2015 season, he was named to the Jamaican national team roster.

He was also one of the most active players involved with the Energy FC Sidekicks program.  He and his Sidekick Sheldan Smith formed a partnership

Dixon’s presence on the back line is another piece to the solid foundation being created for Energy FC’s 2018 season.
