Defender Kyle Hyland begins his third season of play with Energy FC in 2018.  Last season, Hyland was among the team’s most consistent performers.  He was one of five players that attempted at least 1,000 passes last season.  His speed from his left back position allowed him to make runs up field and serve the ball into the box where it players like Miguel Gonzalez and Alex Dixon can convert on those passes.

Hyland can certainly be praised for his skill in his position.  He will always be remembered by diehard Energy FC fans for one of his goals that he scored.  Remember this:

Hyland scored what proved to be the game-winner in a match against the now-defunct Rayo OKC in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match on June 1, 2016.

For his Energy FC career, he’s played in 55 matches, 4,278 minutes and scored four goals.  During the offseason, he is working in the wellness department at Sidekicks sponsor Gulfport Energy.
