U23s add three additional players to 2017 roster

The Energy FC U23s added midfielders Nick Hague and Timo Mehlich and defender Ty Mobley to the roster, head coach Chris Spendlove announced today. 

Hague joins the U23s after his junior season with Georgia State University.  During the 2016 campaign, he appeared in 22 matches and scored one goal and was fourth on the team with 29 shots.

As a freshman at UNLV, Mehlich started all 22 matches during the 2016 campaign and was second on the team with six goals and 15 points.  Before coming to UNLV, the native of Germany played with FC Mönchengladbach and Borussia.

Mobley has played two seasons with St. Edwards University.  With the Hilltoppers, he has appeared in 32 matches, registered three assists and was part of a defense that allowed less than .65 goals per match over those two seasons.

Hague, Mehlich and Mobley join midfielders Josh Taylor, Noah Keats, Eric Leonard and Luka Prpa; forwards Garrett McLaughlin, Ben Conway, Luc Fatton, Sven Koenig, Julio Moncada and Matthew Puig; defenders Mark Lindstrom, Hugo Rhoads and R.J. Roberts; goalkeepers Austen Parker, Eric Dick, Ryan Krutz and Cooper Clark as players currently on the U23 roster for the 2017 season.

The U23s open their season in the 1st round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, May 10 on the road against the Tulsa Athletic at 7:30 p.m.
