Orlando City B’s Earl Edwards Jr. led off the week with a remarkable diving save to deny Louisville City FC’s Tarek Morad, continuing a strong start to the season for the former UCLA shot-stopper.
Phoenix Rising FC’s Josh Cohen then took the spotlight on Saturday afternoon as his full-stretch denial of Real Monarchs SLC’s Sebastian Velasquez proved a bright spot for his side in the contest.
Later on Saturday it was Reno 1868 FC’s Matt Bersano who got his fingertips to a low blast by Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2’s Ben McKendry, helping preserve the first point in 1868 FC’s history at Greater Nevada Field.
