OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC announced today the re-signing of midfielder Daniel Gonzalez for the 2017 season. The signing is pending league and USSF approval.
Gonzalez returns for his third season with Energy FC. During the last two seasons, he has appeared in 50 games, scored four goals and added three assists.
“Gonzalez is one of the most versatile players on the team,” said Head Coach Jimmy Nielsen. “We always know that he can perform at any position we ask him to play. I think that he is ready to take the next step in his development. I have high expectations for him this season.”
Prior to joining Energy FC, Daniel played with the Kitsap Pumas of the PDL.
"Energy FC has a good vision, and I'm looking forward to another great season with the club," Gonzalez said.
Daniel Gonzalez joins forward Danni König, defender Coady Andrews, and defender Kyle Hyland as players officially signed for the 2017 season.
