TULSA, Okla. — Wojciech Wojcik scored his first goal as a member of Energy FC and Daniel Gonzalez added his first score of the year as OKC shut out Tulsa Roughnecks FC 2-0, extending the club's current unbeaten streak to eight games (10, counting to U.S. Open Cup wins) Saturday night at ONEOK Field. Kyle Hyland recorded assists on both Energy FC goals, giving him four points in OKC's last two USL games.
In the 20th minute, Hyland sent a cross to the top of the Tulsa six, where Wojcik propelled a kick past Roughnecks FC keeper Jake Feener for what would be the game's deciding goal.
Eight minutes later, Hyland was again the catalyst for an OKC score, sending a cross to the right side of the Tulsa box, where Gonzalez booted a shot to the far corner of the net, past a diving Feener.
OKC keeper Cody Laurendi recorded his third clean sheet in his seventh start of the year, turning away two Tulsa shots.
With the two assists, Hyland became the third-leading scorer for Energy FC with four points, a single point behind second place Sebastian Dalgaard and another behind team leader Danni König. Hyland's four points have come on just three appearances this season.
Energy FC next travels to McAllen, Texas, where the club will face USL expansion club Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in a 7:30 p.m. start Saturday, June 11, at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Soccer and Track Complex.
Energy FC returns home to Taft Stadium June 25, when the club takes on USL Western Conference-leading Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2. On June 28, OKC welcomes Liga MX's Chivas Guadalajara for friendly at Taft Stadium.
