Energy FC U23 adds three additional players to roster

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Three more players have been added to the Energy FC U23 roster, Head Coach Chris Spendlove announced today.

Conrod Goulbourne is coming off a 4-year career at West Texas A&M University, where he played in 50 games and started 48, totaling 3,839 minutes. He scored nine goals and had 11 assists. In 2015, he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America NCAA Division II All-South Central Region team. He was also named to the NSCAA All-Region team in 2013. Goulbourne graduated from McKinney High School(Texas) and played club soccer for the Dallas Texans.

Devante Dubose joins the Energy U23’s after spending the early part of 2016 in Norway. The Oakland, California native played collegiately at Virginia Tech, where he made 60 appearances at center back and right back. In 2015, he played PDL for Mountain Division powerhouse FC Tucson, leading them to the conference title. Devante attended Bishop O’Dowd High School (Oakland), captaining his team to a 15th ranking in the nation. He played club soccer for Mustang Soccer Club.

England native Paul Wyatt spent 2014 with Energy FC’s 1st team, making 19 appearances before returning to his alma mater James Madison University to complete his master's degree. At JMU, Wyatt was a 4-year starter and was named NSCAA All-South Atlantic Region First Team, All-Conference (CAA) First Team and CAA All-Tournament Team. He was also named an NSCAA All-American. In his senior year, Paul was named JMU Athlete of the Year and JMU’s Most Valuable Player. Upon completion of his JMU career, he was invited to the Adidas MLS Player Combine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“These three players will bring good power and athleticism to our roster. Devante and Conrod are experienced players who know the PDL well, and Paul will bring us invaluable professional-level experience. All three of them have big aspirations to make the jump up to the first team, and we are eager to take a closer look at them over the coming months with the U23’s,” Energu FC U23 Head Coach Chris Spendlove said.
