Despite controlling the majority of the match, Energy FC couldn’t find a way through against rivals FC Tulsa Friday night at Taft Stadium. The draw, following three consecutive wins, means OKC is now unbeaten in four consecutive games.

The opening half saw very little clear-cut chances despite the Greens controlling play and spending it predominantly on the Tulsa end of the pitch, as FC Tulsa sat back and looked to counterattack.

It was more of the same in the second half, with the Greens dominating possession and creating the best chance of the match in the 59th minute.

Arun Basuljevic’s cross from the left found Villyan Bijev near the penalty spot, but the striker’s volley bounced just wide of the post.

The draw moves Energy FC up to 14 points, remaining in 5th place in the Central Division.

The Greens are back home at Taft Stadium on Saturday, July 10 to take on Indy Eleven. Tickets are still available at energyfc.com/july10. You can also get a ticket to the match by donating at our annual blood drive held prior to the match. Click here to make an appointment.
