A tight preseason battle against USL Championship competition ended in a 1-0 defeat for the Greens Wednesday afternoon at Taft Stadium.

Neither side was able to create many clear-cut chances, with both defenses keeping things tight and organized for the majority of the 90 minutes.

One strike was all it took to break the deadlock, however, with Austin finding the back of the net with a curling effort from nearly 30 yards in the last 10 minutes to claim victory.

Energy FC finishes preseason play Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at Taft Stadium against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. That match will also be played behind closed doors, but a live stream will available on Energy FC’s YouTube channel.
