OKLAHOMA CITY – Energy FC has loaned goalkeeper Kyle Ihn to Rio Grande Valley FC Toros for the remainder of the 2020 season, General Manager Jason Hawkins announced today. OKC will receive an international roster spot for the remainder of the season in exchange for Ihn.

“We have an outstanding goalkeeper core here at the club and one thing players in the goalkeeping position need to stay sharp is games," said Hawkins. "With the shortened season, that becomes even more difficult, so this was a great opportunity to get Kyle some games in the Championship."

A 25-year-old native of Wales, Wisc., Ihn spent the 2019 season with Lansing Ignite of USL League One. Ihn previously worked with Head Coach John Pascarella at the Des Moines Menace during the 2017 season. Ihn also made four appearances for Reno 1868 FC of the USL Championship in 2018.

During his four-year playing career at the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay, Ihn made 13 appearances for USL League Two side Kokomo Mantis FC.

Ihn made appearances for the Greens in preseason matches but has yet to see time on the field during league play in 2020.
