Percentage of all sales throughout April will be donated to local charities

OKLAHOMA CITY – Energy FC, as well as 34 other clubs across the USL Championship, will be doing their part to support local charities throughout the month of April, donating a percentage of merchandise proceeds to organizations in their communities to provide support during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

20% of the proceeds from OKC Energy FC merchandise sales will go to the United Way of Central Oklahoma.

“We're looking to help any way we can because folks throughout Oklahoma are hurting,” said Jeff Kretchmar, Energy FC Chief Operating Officer. "The Oklahoma Standard is something we always practice, so when the league called to ask if we would be interested in this initiative, it was a very easy decision."

Clubs have already been using their presence to help their local communities since the temporary suspension of the Championship season was announced, including Energy FC donating protein bars to the OKCity Center and Papa John’s pizzas to employees at SSM Health St. Anthony.

Teams will also be aiding local charities during the upcoming USL eCup: Rocket League Edition that begins on Tuesday afternoon, with Energy FC and the Energy Assist Foundation teaming up again to support the students of Oklahoma City Public Schools.
