Energy FC drew with the University of Central Arkansas, 2-2, Saturday afternoon at Taft Stadium. Goals from Jaime Chavez and Arun Basuljevic bookended an entertaining afternoon in OKC.

After a goalless first half that saw Rafael Garcia come closest to scoring with a curling effort from 20 yards, the Greens opened the scoring through Chavez—the striker's third goal of the preseason. Ray Saari’s feed was controlled by Chavez, who smashed the ball into the side netting from the top of the box with his left foot.

UCA bounced back with two goals in quick succession against the run of play to take the lead.

OKC continued to press, going close on several occasions but were unable to find the back of the net before the 90 minutes were up.

In an effort to get the second group of players more minutes, the teams decided to play an additional 15 minutes.

The Greens picked up right where they left off, with relentless pressure, and eventually found the equalizer with the last kick of the game.

Kodai Iida got on the end of a through ball down the left channel, took a touch into the box towards the end line, and cut back for Basuljevic to place into an open goal from 10 yards out.

The Greens head to Wichita, Kan. to take on Sporting KC II of the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference next Saturday, February 15. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT at Stryker Sports Complex.
