Energy FC fell to San Antonio FC, 5-1, Saturday afternoon in Frisco, Texas. An exquisite chip from Omar Gordon prevented a clean sheet for the opposition, who made the most of their chances, including two penalties.

As has been the case in the first two preseason outings, each half featured a different lineup, with several trialists given time to impress the coaching staff.

Despite the result, Head Coach John Pascarella is taking plenty of positives away from the performance.

"The most important thing was to get each group to play 45 minutes. I think there were some glaring areas, both positive and negative, that give us an idea on what's working and what still needs to be worked on. So, this friendly served it's purpose."

The Greens return to Taft Stadium on Saturday, February 8 to take on the University of Central Arkansas in the final preseason match at home. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m., and admission is free.

Energy FC begins the 2020 USL Championship season at Taft Stadium March 7 at 7 p.m. against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. Season seats for the 2020 season are on sale now. Single match tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 4. Visit energyfc.com/tickets or call 405-235-KICK for more information.
