Energy FC was beaten 3-2 by Major League Soccer's FC Dallas Wednesday night in Frisco, Texas. Kodai Iida and Jaime Chavez scored the goals for OKC in a good preseason showing. Both sides fielded first team players in the first half and a mixture of first team players and trialists/reserves in the second half.

The hosts went ahead early on a shot from outside the 18-yard box that snuck past goalkeeper Kyle Ihn.

A few minutes later, a cross into the box was bundled into the back of the net to double the lead for FCD.

Shortly after the second half restart, Iida, who just met up with the squad this past week, cut the lead in half with a first-time, side footed effort from outside the box that the FCD keeper was able to get his finger tips to before hitting the post and trickling across the line.

After conceding, Dallas went the other way and restored the two-goal lead from an own goal off a corner kick.

Late in the game, Chavez scored in similar fashion to Iida, with a long-range curling effort that nestled in the lower right hand corner of the goal.

The Greens are back in preseason action this Saturday, February 1 against USL Championship Western Conference rival San Antonio FC. That match will kick off at 1 p.m. CT and is open to the public.
