OKLAHOMA CITY – Energy FC has signed forward Tucker Stephenson, pending league and federation approval, Head Coach John Pascarella announced today. Stephenson, a Sporting KC academy product, joins OKC from Sporting KC II of the USL Championship.

“Tucker is a player I worked with at the Des Moines Menace while he was still in college,” said Pascarella. “He is somewhat of a marine at heart, where it’s all about the group and not necessarily about him. He’s a supremely fit kid who is going to have a bright future with this club.”

Stephenson, a 23-year-old native Overland Park, Kan. ended his college career with Loyola University in Chicago after spending two years at West Virginia University. In 2018, Stephenson scored nine goals in 11 appearances with Kaw Valley FC of USL League Two, earning team MVP honors, as well as being named to the USL League Two All-League team and All-Central Conference First Team.

Stephenson becomes the 20th player under contract for the 2020 season on a roster that includes:
