OKLAHOMA CITY – Energy FC has acquired goalkeeper Kyle Ihn, pending league and federation approval, Head Coach John Pascarella announced today. Ihn spent the 2019 season with Lansing Ignite of USL League One.

“Kyle is a goalkeeper I’ve known for quite a while,” said Pascarella. “He played for me in Des Moines, and I brought him in to preseason at Minnesota. He’s a guy I think will be a longtime pro. He has great size, good passing ability out of the back, is good with his hands and is a very quiet, humble kid.”

A 25-year-old native of Wales, Wisc., Ihn worked with Pascarella at the Des Moines Menace during the 2017 season. Ihn also made four appearances for Reno 1868 FC of the USL Championship in 2018.

During his four-year playing career at the University of Wisconsin—Green Bay, Ihn made 13 appearances for USL League Two side Kokomo Mantis FC.

Ihn becomes the 17th player under contract for the 2020 season on a roster that includes:

Goalkeepers (3): CJ Cochran, Kyle Ihn, Cody Laurendi

Defenders (5): Joe Amico, Zachary Ellis-Hayden, Atiba Harris, Kyle Hyland, Nicolas Taravel

Midfielders (6): Arun Basuljevic, Jonathan Brown, Brad Dunwell, Rafael Garcia, Jose Hernandez, Kodai Iida

Forwards (3): Cordell Cato, Jaime Chavez, Omar Gordon
