A 13th goal of the season for Deshorn Brown wasn't enough to get a result on the road, as San Antonio FC picked up all three points at Toyota Field Saturday night.

The hosts jumped out to an early lead in the 12th minute, when Cristian Parano created a yard of space along the ride side of the penalty area and whipped a ball across the six-yard box that found Rafa Castillo for the tap-in.

SAFC doubled their lead in the 26th minute, after Parano picked up a turnover in midfield, found Frank Lopez behind the OKC defense, and Lopez was able to beat Laurendi from just inside the top of the box.

San Antonio extended the lead in the 48th minute. Castillo delivered a dangerous, in-swinging free kick from the right wing that was met by the head of Atiba Harris, but unfortunately, the ball ended up in the back of the OKC net.

Deshorn Brown handed the Greens a lifeline in the 77th minute after being fouled in the penalty area. The striker then stepped up to convert the penalty to the top left corner for his 13th goal of the season.

Jon Brown came inches away from making it a one-goal game in the 82nd minute. His curling free kick had SAFC goalkeeper Matt Cardone beat, but it smacked against the post and away to safety.

Energy FC return home to host Sacramento Republic FC next Sunday, September 22. Kickoff for that fixture is set for 6 p.m at Taft Stadium.
