Week 22 Recap

Energy FC are back at Taft Stadium after drawing 1-1 with Tulsa Roughnecks FC in the Black Gold Derby last Saturday. Christian Eissele put the Greens ahead before Tulsa leveled through fortunate circumstances. 

Week 23 Preview

One of the hottest teams in the league, Fresno FC, come to Taft Stadium this Saturday. Currently third in the Western Conference, the Foxes have only lost once in their last nine matches and are most recently coming off a 2-1 win at home over Las Vegas Lights FC.

The start of that nine-match streak began against Energy FC on June 8, when the sides drew 1-1 at Chukchansi Park. Jemal Johnson put Fresno ahead early that night, but Deshorn Brown was able to find the back of the net late in the match to secure a point on the road.

In three meetings all time, Energy FC have yet to defeat Fresno FC, drawing twice and losing once.

The Foxes are led by Johnson and Qudus Lawal who have seven goals each. Jackson and Juan Pablo Caffa have the most assists with five. Former Energy FC goalkeeper CJ Cochran has appeared in all 21 of FFC's matches this season, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 21 goals.

Brown leads the way with nine goals for the Greens, while Omar Gordon has the most assists with six. Cody Laurendi still leads the league with 77 saves.
