#ForCityAndClub isn’t just a hashtag. It’s a mission. Energy FC, Team Griffin, and City Center recently opened the first of many new futsal/basketball courts in partnership with the US Soccer Foundation.  Well over one hundred local kids helped Energy FC co-owner Tim McLaughlin, Taylor Griffin, and Pastor Jed Chappell dedicate the first of many futsal courts to be built over the next couple of years.

There are plans for at least ten additional courts to be placed throughout the metro in under-resourced communities. Though quite common in other parts of the world, this is one of the only public futsal courts in OKC, and it’s the first not located on school property.

Adorned with the familiar Energy FC green, club crest and banners, these shiny, new mini-pitches will not only provide a clean, safe place for kids to play, but they will also offer the chance for aspiring youth soccer players to sharpen their skills.

In addition to all of the fun happening on the courts, Swadley’s Bar-B-Q and Healthy Eats and Shameful Cheats provided dinner and dessert for everyone in attendance.

Located at 5731 NW 41st St, City Center was founded in 2016 with the mission to bring relief and restoration to lives in Oklahoma City. For more information, please visit OK City Center.
