A whirlwind 24-hour period ended for Energy FC Wednesday afternoon.  Just 18 hours after announcing the extension of an affiliation agreement with FC Dallas, The Greens began their preseason with a match against the FC Dallas Reserves at the FC Dallas training facility in Frisco.

The team departed for FC Dallas early on the morning of February 7.  Following the 3-hour ride to Frisco, the team got in a quick training session before closing the day by watching FC Dallas play CONCACAF Champions League foe, Salvadoran side Santa Tecla in a friendly match.

Early Thursday morning, the teams met on the pitch.  Energy FC played most of their regulars at some point during the match.  FC Dallas took a 1-0 lead early in the 2nd half.  The Greens countered with a strike from Jon Brown and the match finished knotted 1-1.

The match was a solid start for the club and served as an opportunity for Head Coach Steve Cooke to learn about his current players, trialists and FC Dallas players that may play with Energy FC this season.

The Greens return to OKC to train on February 9 at Taft Stadium at 10 a.m.  February 10 at 3 p.m. at the OU Soccer complex, the club takes on some of the top members of OEFC.  The match is open to the public and free to attend.

Additional training sessions are next week at Taft Stadium at 10 a.m. with an additional preseason match against SMU on October 17 at 3 p.m. at the OU Soccer Complex.  The match is open to the public and free to attend.
