We’re in that time of year…that fun time of year when anticipation for what lies ahead takes over.  A new Technical Staff has the opportunity to welcome a crop of players to Edmond Soccer Club and Taft Stadium for the team’s Open Combine.

Where do these players come from?  This season’s crop of Open Combine attendees is as varied as the players that normally play on the Energy FC roster.

For starters, there are players from the United States, France, Serbia, Congo, Cameroon, New Zealand, Canada, Hondouras, Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Korea, Nigeria, Paraguay, Rwanda, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Saudi Arabia.  If you’re keeping track, that is players from 18 different countries and five different continents.

What about the different colleges?  Locally, players represent teams from Oklahoma City University, USAO, Oklahoma City Community College, Oral Roberts University, SW Christian University, SW Oklahoma State, Rose State College, NE Oklahoma A&M, MidAmerica Christian and Randall University.

The Technical Staff is pleased with the quality of play and those that attended the combine.  Congratulations to Kyle MCLagan, Joshua Garcia, Nicholas Downs and Vladimir Kalajdzic on earning the opportunity to train with the 1st team during training camp and thanks to everyone that participated!
