Midfielder John Brown was a late-season addition to the Energy FC roster. A well-traveled player, he joined The Greens after playing the 2016 season in Bangladesh with Abahani Limited Dhaka where he scored four goals and four assists in seven matches to help lead the team to the club’s fifth championship in its history.

He is no stranger to international experience playing in his home country of Wales with Cardiff City, Rayong United FC (Thailand) and Hereford United FC (England).  He was a part of the Wales National U-21, U-19 and U-17 teams alongside countrymen Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Allen.

Brown scored one goal for Energy FC during the season.  His tally on September 23 against Sacramento helped propel the club to a third consecutive playoff appearance.

Conversation with the Energy FC keepers indicates that Brown has one of the hardest shots on the team.  Look for him to use that power during the 2018 campaign.
