Energy FC forward Jose Angulo was named USL Player of the Month for the month of October.  Angulo led the way for Oklahoma City, posting six goals and three assists during the month.

During that stretch, Energy FC posted a 3-0-0 record and secured the #6 seed in the USL Cup Playoffs.  Angulo recorded a hat trick in a 3-0 win over LA Galaxy II, two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over Swope Park and a goal and two assists in a 3-1 win over Seattle Sounders 2.  He figured in nine of the 10 goals scored by the club in October.

Angulo’s strong finish gave him a total of 15 goals on the season, good for a tie for 4th in the league.

Angulo received 59% of the votes in a weighted poll that included members of the USL Technical Committee, a national panel of independent media representatives from each USL market and an online fan vote.

Energy FC  continues their USL Cup Playoff run with the Western Conference Semifinal match against San Antonio FC on Saturday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m.  The match can be seen locally on News9 Plus and online via the USL’s YouTube channel.
