Energy FC acquired forward Jose Angulo on loan today from Saint Louis FC.  In a separate transaction, Energy FC traded the rights to Daniel Jackson to Saint Louis FC.

Born in Cali, Colombia, but raised in Clifton, New Jersey, Angulo signed with Saint Louis FC during the offseason.  With Saint Louis FC, he has appeared in 12 matches and registered four goals.   Prior to joining Saint Louis FC, he played parts of two seasons with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the NASL where he appeared in 32 matches and scored eight goals.

Angulo’s best season as a pro was the 2013 campaign with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL.  During 2013, he tied current U.S. National Team member Dom Dwyer for the league lead in goals with 15 in just 23 games played.  At the time, the 15 goals was a league record.  In all, he appeared in 47 games with Pittsburgh and scored 23 goals.

Prior to turning pro, Angulo attended Saint Benedict’s Preparatory School where he was a Parade Magazine All American and widely regarded as one of the best high school soccer players in the country.  He has experience with Harrisburg, Pittsburgh and Saint Louis in the USL and Fort Lauderdale in NASL as well as the New England Revolution and New York Red Bulls of MLS.

Energy FC hosts Liga MX power Pachuca in an international friendly tomorrow at Taft Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the match are available by contacting the Energy FC office at 235-KICK (5425) or by visiting energyfc.com/Pachuca.
