Energy FC goalkeeper Jacob Lissek, on loan with FC Dallas, has been signed by the MLS club.

Lissek joined FC Dallas on loan April 19 after FC Dallas goalkeeper Chris Seitz suffered a hamstring strain in training.  Lissek backed up Jesse Gonzalez in FC Dallas’s 1-0 over Sporting Kansas City last Saturday.

Lissek, a 6-3 keeper from Highlands Ranch, Colorado played collegiately with Farliegh Dickinson where he amassed a 39-21-12 record and a program-best 26 clean sheets.  Following a stint with the Charlotte Independence, Lissek spent the 2016 season with Energy FC.  He appeared in Energy FC’s match against Chivas de Guadalajara on June 28.  One of his saves against the well-known club from Liga MX was voted the Save of the Year by Energy FC fans.

Energy FC plays on the road Saturday evening against Rio Grande Valley FC at 7:30 p.m.  The match can be seen locally on News9 Plus.  Check local listings for details.
