OKLAHOMA CITY -- Energy FC has transferred Casey Townsend's contract to Wilmington Hammerheads FC, the club's front office announced today.

The forward goes to North Carolina after spending all of 2015 and part of 2016 with the OKC side. Townsend scored 1 goal for Energy FC against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on September 12, 2015, and had an assist on July 31, 2015 against Arizona United SC.

"We appreciate the time that Casey spent here as a part of Energy FC, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," Energy FC General Manager Jason Hawkins said.

Wilmington currently holds a 2-3-2 record for the 2016 season.
