Energy FC downs Midwestern State in final preseason game

YUKON — Three different players scored as OKC Energy FC knocked off the Midwestern State University Mustangs, 3-0, in Energy FC’s final preseason game Saturday night at Yukon’s Miller Stadium.

Peabo Doue gave Energy FC a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute. Christian Duke added a goal in the 80th minute, and Paul Wyatt netted the final goal in stoppage time.

Energy FC controlled the game, putting 10 of its 19 total shots on MSU goalkeeper Nick Petolick, while the Mustangs managed just two shots on goal in five total attempts. Goalkeeper Jon Kempin registered the win for Energy FC.

Energy FC opens the 2014 season April 5, travelling to Irvine, Calif., to take on the Orange County Blues at 9 p.m. CT. The team opens at home on April 26th against Orlando City SC.
